And as such our privacy policy will ensure that we communicate to you (our Riders and Drivers) in the best way possible and your information will be guarded at all times. You are highly encouraged to read this Policy carefully. It will help You make informed decisions about sharing Your personal information with us.
The terms stated in this Policy have the same meaning as those in our Terms of Use. By accessing our website and/or application and by using our Service, you consent to the terms of this Policy and agree to be bound by it and our Terms of Use. 2. The Information We Collect

When you use the IJE Platform, we collect the information you provide, usage information, and information about your device. We also collect information about you from other sources like third-party services, and optional programs in which you participate, which we may combine with other information we have about you. Here are the types of information we collect about you:

A. Information You Provide to Us

Account Registration. When you create an account with IJE, we collect the information you provide us, such as your name, email address, phone number, and payment information. You may choose to share additional info with us for your Rider profile, like your photo or saved addresses (e.g., home or work), and set up other preferences (such as your preferred pronouns).
Driver Information. If you apply to be a Driver, we will collect the information you provide in your application, including your name, email address, phone number, profile photo, physical address, driver’s license information, and vehicle information. We collect the payment information you provide us, including your bank account numbers, and tax information. Depending on where you want to drive, we may also ask for additional business license or permit information or other information to manage driving and programs relevant to that location. We may need additional information from you at some point after you become a Driver, including information to confirm your identity (like a photo).
Ratings and Feedback. When you rate and provide feedback about Riders or Drivers, we collect all of the information you provide in your feedback.
Communications. When you contact us or we contact you, we collect any information that you provide, including the contents of the messages or attachments you send us.

B. Information We Collect When You Use IJE Rides

Location Information. Great rides start with an easy and accurate pickup. The IJE Platform collects location information (including GPS and WiFi data) differently depending on your IJE app settings and device permissions as well as whether you are using the platform as a Rider or Driver:
  • Riders: We collect your device’s precise location when you open and use the IJE app, including while the app is running in the background from the time you request a ride until it ends. IJE also tracks the precise location of cars at all times.
  • Drivers: We collect your device’s precise location when you open and use the app, including while the app is running in the background when it is in driver mode. We also collect precise location for a limited time after you exit driver mode in order to detect ride incidents, and continue collecting it until a reported or detected incident is no longer active.

Usage Information. We collect information about your use of the IJE Platform, including ride information like the date, time, destination, distance, route, payment, and whether you used a promotional or referral code. We also collect information about your interactions with the IJE Platform like our apps and websites, including the pages and content you view and the dates and times of your use.

3. How We Use Your Information

IJE collects and uses data to enable reliable and convenient transportation, delivery, and other products and services. We also use the data we collect:
  • To maintain the security and safety of the IJE Platform and its users
  • For customer support
  • For research and development
  • To enable communications between users
  • To send marketing and non-marketing communications to users
  • Respond to legal proceedings and obligations
IJE does not sell or share user personal data with third parties for their direct marketing, except with users’ consent.

4. HOW IJE USES RIDER LOCATION INFORMATION

IJE uses your device’s location services to make it easier to get a safe, reliable ride whenever you need one. Location data helps improve our services, including pickups, navigation, customer support, and more.
If you’re using an Android device and location collection is enabled, we may collect location information from the time you open the IJE app until your trip ends or is canceled. This includes when your app is not visible on screen.
If you disable location collection you can still use the IJE app, but you’ll need to enter your pickup and dropoff locations manually. Location information will be collected from the driver during your trip and linked to your account, even if you have disabled location services for your app.

5. CREDIT CARD DETAILS

If You choose to pay for your ride or our service by credit card, your credit card details are not stored by the application and cannot be accessed by Ije Rides Ltd. Staff and/or Operations team. 6. USE OF “COOKIES”

In providing our services we utilize “cookies”. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on Your computer for record-keeping purposes. A cookie does not identify You personally or contain any other information about You, but it identifies Your computer.
Ije Rides Ltd. and its third-party service providers may use a combination of “persistent cookies” (cookies that remain on Your hard drive for an extended period of time) and “session ID cookies” (cookies that expire when You close Your browser). This will perform activities such as: track overall application usage, track and report on Your use and interaction with the Service.
You can set your browser to notify You when You receive a cookie so that You will have an opportunity to either accept or reject it in each instance. However, You should note that refusing cookies may have a negative impact on the functionality and usability of the Website and/or application.

7. How We Store and Protect Your Information

 We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide you and our other users the IJE Platform. This means we keep your profile information for as long as you maintain an account. We retain transactional information such as rides and payments for at least seven years to ensure we can perform legitimate business functions, such as accounting for tax obligations. If you request account deletion, we will delete your information as set forth in the “Deleting Your Account” section below.
We take reasonable and appropriate measures designed to protect your personal information. But no security measures can be 100% effective, and we cannot guarantee the security of your information, including against unauthorized intrusions or acts by third parties.

8. Children’s Privacy

Our services are not directed to children. If you are under the age of 16 you are not permitted to use the IJE Services. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 16. If you learn that your child has provided us with Personal Information without your consent, you may alert us at info@ijerides.com. If we learn that we have collected Personal Information of a child under 16, we will take steps to delete such information from our files as soon as possible and terminate the child’s account.

9. COMPLAINTS / HOW TO CONTACT US

If you wish to complain about how we have handled Your personal information, please contact our customer service personnel with full details and any supporting documentation by e-mail at info@ijerides.com
Our customer service personnel will:
– Provide an initial response to Your query or complaint within 10 business days
– Investigate and attempt to resolve Your query or complaint within 30 business days or such longer period as is necessary and notified to you by our customer service personnel.

10. Updates to this Privacy Policy.

We may revise this Privacy Policy in our sole discretion. If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you as required by applicable law. We will post any Privacy Policy revisions on this web page, and the revised version will be effective immediately when it is posted. If you continue to visit our website or use the IJE Services after such changes have been made, the revised Privacy Policy will be applicable to you.
